International DIT and Colorist
I am a DIT with over 17 years experience in the film industry. I have worked on over 100 projects ranging from TV series, feature films and commercials. I have worked with dozens of DP’s, Directors and Producers. I have experience grading footage onset live with Livegrade or on the camera truck with Resolve and Redcine. I can color dailies and do final color correction. I can create new workflows to match any project. I understand and respect the importance and cost of the footage that I am entrusted to take care of. I am detail oriented, have a great eye for color and can achieve any look the DP and production desires. I can troubleshoot problems which invariably come up and I know the cameras as I was a camera assistant for many years. I am well versed in all digital camera systems such as Arri, Red, Sony and Panasonic. I started in 1999 as a boom operator after graduating from a technical school for sound engineering. Upon stepping foot on set I was enchanted by the cameras being used, which at that time were 35mm motion picture cameras. I had been an avid photographer since I was a child. I still shoot 35mm black & white lm and full frame digital. I quickly made contacts with the camera crew and DPs and transitioned to the camera department. I started as a camera trainee and then became a 2nd AC Clapper/Loader. The lessons and habits I learnt dealing with lm still in influences the way I treat digital material. In 2002 the industry began to change and Sony F900 HD Cams became the camera for TV. My first job as a DIT was operating the decks for the (in)famous Viper cameras. As soon as RED Ones arrived on the scene I saw the future coming and made the leap from camera assistant to DIT. I have recently moved from Vancouver, Canada to Barcelona and am looking to establish myself as one of the premier DIT’s in the city.
